FORCRETE SYSTEMS

Microcement is a coating which is comprised of multiple layers. Generally these include a primer, base coats, finish coats and sealer.

These component can change depending on the type of performance required.

Let us introduce you to our 7 key systems. These are designed specifically to accommodate the wide variety of substrates and surfaces that microcement can used on.

MICROCEMENT FLOORS

A detailed diagram of a belt and braces flooring system showing different layers and materials. It includes sections labeled for primer, prepared substrate, basecoat, finish coat, mesh, and sealer, with a color gradient ranging from light to dark shades of gray and brown.

We offer three different types of floor systems designed to work with various different floor substrates. You will notice that that the last 4 layers of each system are identical, which means that texture and finish performance will not change regardless of the systems you use. We never compromise performance or durability of our products.

System selection depends solely on the type of substrate you are working with. Less stable substrates will require Belt and Braces Floor which includes a fiberglass mesh reinforcement and two heavy-duty base coats. More stable substrates can be address with simplified systems like Fast Floor.

MICROCEMENT WALLS & MORE

A detailed chart explains a standard wall system with steps including sealing, finishing coat, basecoat, primer, and final application with textured and colored finishes on the right side of the image.

These three systems can be used for surfaces such as ceilings, millwork, fireplaces, hoodfans and more! Our standard is that walls inside the shower always receive the Belt and Braces Wall system, regardless of the substrate. Simplified systems can be used for the rest of the bathroom yet a more extensive type of prep work would need to be carried out. Same concept applies to other surfaces - the less stable/solid your substrate is the more comprehensive system is required.

MICROCEMENT SPECIALTY USES

A detailed guide on a specialty system for surface finishing, showing a sequence of steps including primer, basecoat, finish coat, fiberglass mesh, and prepared substrate, each with visual color and texture samples.

Some cases require a special approach which delivers enhanced durability (when compared to wall systems) and easier installation process (when compared to floor systems).

Specialty System must be used for steam showers, countertops, staircases as well as sinks and vanities.
